He played a new detective who was possibly corrupt in some way, maybe. Or maybe there investigating everyone else. And he got into a shouting match with Cooper. I don't even know what it was about and then I woke up because it was all too awesome for my brain. I think maybe it was all too awesome for my brain. And it was totally the type of shouting match where they were like half a second a way from making out because my first thought when I woke up was, "wow. Ben is going to be pissed."

I definitely thought of that, but I don't think either Ben and Cooper shares all that well. Though I kind of like the idea of both of them thinking they would be okay with a threesome and the other one being 'yeah, no way would you be okay with that,' and sort of double dog daring each other into one, and then both of them becoming insanely possessive and jealous when confronted with the actuality of it and pretty much ignoring the other person.

He could be the newly-promoted detective, too smart/idealistic for his own good, and they pair him with Lydia because She Knows All and also, they wanna make sure the newbie doesn't get himself killed. (We'll just ignore what happened to her last partner.) Possibly he's the son of someone important and he has something to prove, so Lydia's the natural choice because she doesn't give a shit about that unless she can use it for the side of good and light.

Okay, you realize now I want them to get involved b/c god knows Lydia doesn't have a good man...and Stark would totally want to prove himself. It would be like Ben and Cooper! OMG! Maybe Ben and Stark go way back, and Cooper'll be like is this something I need to worry about and Ben'll be like, nooooooo, but you might want to tell his partner that he can't stop talking about her and John'll catch up with Lydia at some crime and be all, "Look, I'm going to tell you now. Watch out. Your new partner? He's got ideas."

And Lydia'll be all. "Yes, just what I need another white man trying to look out for me."

And John's like, "No, the puppy-eyed, rich, desperate to please act. It's going to end with sex. Trust me."

And Lydia'll be like. "You drink too much."

John snickers. "You're mistaking me for Dewey. Just wait. I'm telling you."

You know this leads to a some zip-ties sex where John's like when exactly are you spending all this time with Det. Sands to know all this shit? And Ben's like, it's Stark and he's cool, and you know I never like anybody, he's a good guy. And then he's all I've seen you looking at his ass, John. Which you know, John can't really deny. Which makes Ben a little triumphant, and yet a little irritated, because hello, he spends plenty of time at the gym to keep John's eyes on *his* ass.

And you know when John tries to "warn" Lydia she's like "Did I ask you to share the details of your sex life, Officer Cooper?"

And John's "like, I'm just saying."

And Lydia's like. "TMI, Officer. If I see Sherman walking funny tomorrow, I'm going to be looking right at you."
