When I woke up this morning I was so full of happiness and joy. I had plans. I was going to write happy!fic. There was gonna be sunshine and beer and kissing. Things were gonna happen in RL. And then things happened. And it's like being bitch-slapped repeatedly. To paraphase spookshowbaby, "When even cookies turn on you, it's just sad." And the ignominy of the day has not stopped.

Jeff Buckley music being adulterated on Broadway for a recreation of Romeo and Juliet?! To know me is to know my reverence of Jeff Buckley. This is like spitting in my eye.

Fuck this shit.

I'm hiding under the bed with a six pack and my iPod, I'm not leaving until the Marines show up.

ETA: This My So-Called Life reunion did make me smile briefly though. Dead Embryos goes punk, Jordan and Tino touring for years in their Econo van, and Angela ends up working for Elle magazine. Finally, we get an ending!

I'm not surprised anymore. The rights to everything reverted to his mom after his death, even though they were supposedly estranged. She had a slew of people kicked off of Napster in the early '00's for sharing songs that she couldn't profit from. I don't hold her in real high regard.
