I’m feeling… industrious today. My muses take very kindly to me getting cranky apparently.

Resemblance

He looks just like his father – at least that’s Lucius’ first thought. Although perhaps ‘thought’ is the wrong word as the sensation is more of a jarring epiphany bordering on something resembling the Cruciatus… or what Lucius imagines the Cruciatus to feel like.

However, it could certainly be worse. Lucius is nothing if not pragmatic, and if Harry Potter didn’t have his mother’s eyes Lucius suspects there might be real trouble, as opposed to what ever is happening now.

He’ll have to have a talk with Draco this evening and ‘dissuade’ his thoughts in this direction. Like father like son.

+++

A Demented Kiss

The first kiss was raw and hard, Draco never even saw him coming.

Draco always saw Potter coming.

The second kiss was a surprise, and Draco is never surprised.

He’s never been interested in redheads, but Weasley was certainly a lot more proficient than Draco had given him credit for.

Draco wasn’t adverse to doing it again.

The third kiss was from her, and by then Draco could see the pattern. He learned to avoid random hallways on the days the three of them fought.

The Boy on a Broom

Oliver was the first.

He tended to get far too overexcited in the heat of the game and his eyes would grow extraordinarily bright. The colouring would start in his cheeks, and before Harry knew it, Oliver’s whole face would be flushed. After a really vigorous practice, Oliver’d look as though he’d run a long distance, or had just had a shag.

Yes, Oliver was definitely Harry’s first crush.

Krum was the second, and Harry’s crush on him was hard and brutal, just like the Triwizard Tournament. Harry hadn’t planned on competing with both of his mates for one guy, but really he shouldn’t have been surprised. They always did everything together at any rate.

All things considered it could have been worse. It could always be worse, and it was always going to come back to ‘him’ anyway. Of course, it could have been a different ‘him’, but Harry’s very glad he didn’t fall for Cedric instead. Handsome Cedric with his white teeth and gallant manner as opposed to Krum with his hunched shoulders and his Wronksi Feint.

No, it’s good that Krum was second and Oliver first. It developed the pattern, and falling for Cedric would’ve ruined Harry forever, so instead Harry got lucky as he’s often want to do. Instead of scaring Harry off and making him afraid, Cedric’s death made him bold and even more daring, as though life wasn’t already short enough.

Harry didn’t have time to contemplate the whys, and there was never any ‘maybe’ about it.

Harry Potter didn’t ‘wake up’ gay one morning. It had nothing to do with a spell or a poisoned apple. An errant bludger didn’t scramble his gray matter, and he wasn’t tricked into admitting his feelings under the weight of words or wands or bubotuber pus. So, Harry’s third crush on Draco was really no surprise to him - he seemed to like boys who could handle their brooms at any rate.

I love random sex with men. You bring them home on odd days, I'll bring them home on even.

Are you watching FF? Now I really love you!

Oh my, I thought there were only two. I somehow missed the very first piece. ::embarassed::

I love how you manage to tell so much about each situation in so few words.

Lucius/James? I wish I could say I was shocked, but I am *not*. Write the real thing. Who else could write someone as completely assholish as Lucius? I mean that in a good way, I swear.

Alright, you little *insert mean name here*, that last one was the start of a story. Write the damned thing. It is brill. Seriously. *sigh* So many thoughts there.

Yeah, I really feel the love there. pfft.

As for the last one being the start of a story, I have all these ideas, but you know translating them is not working out. Sigh. Maybe, hopefully, that would be nice you know...

That's hilarious and unexpected and wonderful. I want you to write this, too! There's lots of nice conflict working here. I loves me some interpersonal conflict.

LOL. If I could explore any of this stuff, I guarantee they wouldn't be drabbles. Or maybe they would. I suspect I'm becoming lazy. I shall have to have a no-drabble week where I only spend time writing proper stories.

Ooh. The first is nicely said, the second absolutely brilliant. Great concept. The third is unbearably sweet. I really like the tone, and the progression of the crushes. The last line is fantastic.
