It’s the sort of beauty that Tom likes to destroy. Lean form, bright eyes, soft hair and flawless skin, Draco Malfoy has it all, just as his father did before him.
Except Draco has more.
Draco has a more willing air, a more willing body. Lucius has a scar on his right shoulder blade. Draco does not.
Draco reminds Tom of himself. Many lifetimes ago when he was still ‘Tom.’ When Tom wasn’t the Dark Lord, and no, there was no existence to speak off before Voldemort, but perhaps there was. Perhaps there is the story of a young man who fell in love with another young man. Perhaps one of these young men was named Tom, and he fell in love with someone who grew old.
Tom will never grow old now.
Draco will never grow old either. That’s why Tom is going to kill him. Because there is some beauty that deserves to be preserved, and the best way to do that is to destroy it.
Notes: No, that is not the story of Edymion. But damnit, Draco being eternally young certainly made me think of it

It’s quite clear to Ron that sex and love are not the same thing. Especially not where he’s concerned, and there are blonde hairs on Ron’s robe that he’ll have to get rid of before he goes for dinner. There aren’t many, one, maybe two, but he didn’t pull Malfoy’s hair that hard.
At least not last night.
This afternoon might have been a bit different, but Ron didn’t say he could speak. Malfoy’s mouth is for sucking him off. Not communicating. Malfoy talks too much anyway, and if Ron wants to talk to someone, there’s always Hermione.

Fucking has nothing to do with love, and that is the only thing that is happening between Ron and Malfoy. Fucking. Shagging. Sex. There is no love involved. There is no kindness necessary. It is all take and no give, and that’s why Ron doesn’t give Malfoy any prep time when he takes him.
Ron takes and Malfoy gives, and that is as it should be. Malfoy may be rich, but Ron is in charge and all the money in the world couldn’t - can't - won't - change that.
Ron wouldn’t accept Malfoy otherwise, and he’s very clear on this idea because it’s the only thing that keeps him coming back for more. The sex is good and it’s completely attachment-free.
He is not attracted to Malfoy in any way; he’s not interested in being Malfoy’s mate.
If he wants mates he has Seamus and Dean.

Ron does not want to take Malfoy home to the Burrow for dinner.
Malfoy does not belong at the kitchen table between George and Ginny. Malfoy does not belong at the Gryffindor table parked between Hermione and Harry. That is a place for partners and lovers and significant others and Malfoy is none of those things.
What Malfoy is, is a pureblood bastard with a wet mouth and long fingers.
What Malfoy is, is the pale bruises that Ron puts on his hips and bite marks that disappear overnight.
What Malfoy is, is a convenient body to fuck without sentiment.
If Ron wants an equal, there’s always Harry.

It’s not sex; it’s business.
Draco is all business, and if he must deal with an insufferable Weasley to achieve his means then so be it. They’re not just his means, they’re the means of an army, of his father, of a Dark Lord he has been taught to revere above all else.
If Draco must work under this guise, then he will.
Plans come in all shapes and sizes and potions.
His entire life he has been taught to hate Harry Potter. It drives everything Draco does, and if fucking the Weasel will get him closer to the destruction of Potter then it is nothing to play along. Draco’s willing to blow Weasley, and let him fuck him, and he’s even willing to let Weasley think that he’s in charge. But every time Draco collects a few more hairs he comes that much closer to the day he’ll no longer need Weasley. The day when he’ll have Weasley’s mannerisms down and enough hair for a Polyjuice potion that will end the war before it starts.
Imagine the shock when Harry Potter is killed by his best friend.
It will be the greatest triumph ever, and at Draco’s hands no less. If Weasley is too stupid to suspect that Draco has an ulterior motive, that’s his fault. Draco would never be so stupid. There’s no such thing as a free ride.
