Does this make me the prodigal daughter?

1. FX was showing ‘Welcome to the Hellmouth’ last night right before Exodus. That was hot. The world is doomed.
2. I'm feeling that writing vibe today. Who's with me?
3. Clark sympathy thing happening here.
Everyone has defining moments. Some are really pleasant, a lot are just fucking awful. Clark had one of the latter in the hospital with Jonathan. It wasn’t just the whole ‘I fucked up like you wouldn’t believe and maybe I should stay in the loft tonight’ type realization. I think it also brought home the whole hammer of as much as the Kents love him, Clark is still adopted. He is not their son in the biological sense, and damned if he didn’t just knock off the competition. No matter how much he may want it, Clark is not like everybody else. He’s still an orphan, and a long-term visitor. He’s been trying, bless his alien heart, but some people simply are not meant to fit in (Lex association). Some people are meant to be different, because it’s what’s makes them great. (More Lex association).
Having said all that, the thing about defining moments is that they keep coming up later on in life. From now on, every time Jonathan tries to talk to Clark or tell him something (since we all know Clark’ll be home by the end of episode one, season three), Clark’s going to think of that closed door. It’s going to haunt him, and he’s been tainted. Until now, even when the shit is just flying everywhere, Clark’s been able to turn to his parents. Now that he’s seen the door close in his face? I’m thinking not so much so. I’m thinking this is the beginning of a smaller rift too.
But you know, on the fiction side of this, I’m getting a lot of Donne vibes from this episode. Clark wants to be an island, and Lex is going to get washed up on one soon. Duuuude! Desert Island Porn, yo!

I know porn porn porn. Everybody wants porn. Whatever happened to, like, stories?! Besides, I'm being waylaid by my need for X2 porn. What?
As for Clark, I just remember having something like that happen once and it just changed everything in my life 180 degrees.
