Although I loved how Luke became a good guy and how Chris Carmack broke my heart every time he showed his vulnerability with marissa and with Julie. But Josh Schwartz painted himself into a corner when he started to over-Golden Retriever Luke's character. He became almost cartoon-y, and not 3D.

The same bad-to-good boy transformation was done on Bright in Everwood but with Bright, it was done without losing the oafishness that was part of Bright's charm (?) -- he just became a nice lovable oaf, instead of a bully.
