Blaise Zabini: Wentworth Miller. For everyone asking, 'who?' I'll lay it out rather simply, starred in The Human Stain with Nicole Kidman and Anthony Hopkins. Will be soon seen in Prison Break on FOX. With a shaved head. And tattoos. And shirtless. Think a network version of Oz. Born in the UK. Graduated from Princeton. Is of African-American, Jamaican, English, German, French, Dutch, Syrian and Lebanese descents, because not all black people look the same. Did I mention he's like really fucking hot.

Gemma Blavatsky Zabini: Thandie Newton. The consummate black widow herself. Yeah, quite the joke, no? She's hot. And has been married seven times, in case you didn't catch that part. Hell, I'd marry her too!

Angelina: Johnson: Marsha Thomason. Blaise's half sister. She goes by her father's surname and was raised by her father's mother. Doesn't like Blaise. Doesn't like her mum. Tends not to associate with Blaise if at all possible. Angelina's father, Victor Johnson (Idris Elba (The Wire, Ultraviolet)), was Gemma's third husband.

+ A little light reading, or why I wanted to cast Wentworth instead of someone else, like David Oyelowo (Danny, Spooks/MI-5).
+ I know Blaise needs a father. Ideas, children? My brain is fried. I have to go think about my dearest Neville, who saw no action, and possibly Draco crying in the bathroom and how Myrtle is going to play matchmaker. What? You know I smoke crack.

And while I'm making casting announcements, I should also point out that Emilia Fox has been cast as Pansy Parkinson. I think. That one's a bit questionable.

Um, hi. I am not in Harry Potter fandom, and yet I get my squee on when people cast actors who once had a bit part in an episode from a million years ago fo a show that isn't on anymore.
It's possible this fannish symbiosis thing is more than just a fancy phrase.

Love the idea of Angelina as his half sister, too. Neat.
