random thoughts of the day.

1. I like reading Snape/Lupin. Wait, let me qualify that, I like reading very well done Snape/Lupin, like
hesychasm's The Persons We Were. I'm very picky about my Snape characterisation, but I do like this pairing. In fact, I prefer it to Lupin/Black by a very large margin. I'm not terribly into Marauders-era stories. This does not mean I don't read them, I'm just not a huge fan. Now everyone can run away.
2. I hope Kitchen Confidential is the next big thing, because it's extremely funny in a dark comedy sort of way. The pilot cracked me up, plus it has Will (Alias!) and Xander (!). I adore what little I've seen so far.
3. I beg of you, please do not pay see The Island. You will be bored to literal tears; even the studio is pretending it doesn't exist! Now, true, it does have the gorgeous Djimon Hounsou wearing really nice clothing and channelling Kazari Bomani, but your time would be better served by filing your nails, or balancing your chequebook, or possibly, cleaning out the refrigerator.
4. I have developed a deep lust for the entire male cast of Battlestar Galactica, with the possible exception of Tigh*. Seriously, I text
serialkarma to wibble about Tyrol, Helo, Billy and Lee constantly. Also, Kara + cigar = hotness. If it's wrong, I don't want to be right.
*I would've linked to the BSG site or the Sci-Fi site, but they're both crawling with spoilers.
5. I heart Neville Longbottom with the passion of fifty Caprican suns. I suspect this is why I'm even margininally contemplating the idea of he and Theodore becoming parents. Without the mpreg, people, please. Don't insult me. You can just blame
ethrosdemon, it takes less time.
Song of the day: Ryan Adams & the Cardinals 'Magnolia Mountain' off the CD Cold Roses' for all those people who didn't listen the first fifty times I said Ryan was the shit.

Date: 2005-07-26 12:36 pm (UTC)Damn it, and the pictures looked so pretty too.
Snape/Lupin doesn't normally appeal to me at all, but I remember romanticalgirl wrote a really good Marauders era story a year or two back with a bit of Snape/Lupin in it that was strangely convincing.
I am however having to try very hard to get the idea of Neville as a parent out of my head. All I can see is the kid who plays him in PoA, and-- just no!
