You know it's bound to be a good birthday when it starts off with chocolate cake, champagne and Zero 7, and then there's belly-dancing and a screening of Syriana. Oh George, even 30 lbs. heavier, you are still insanely hot.

Thank you all SO much for the birthday wishes, which I, uh haven't had a chance to look at or respond to, but which are very much loved and appreciated. I have to go now because I'm late for my birthday dinner.

Syriana is the sort of film that is so smart and so full of information you'll have to see it twice, easily. It's effortlessly engaging, which is new for me in a way. I watched the first 2/3s of it, just you know, watching and enjoying. I wasn't bored, but I was on the edge of my seat either, I was just watching and then everything came together and I was like, fuck me.
