1. Okay, y'all are really slipping on me here. I still need Johnny Cash 'I've Been Everywhere' and now also Talking Heads 'Once in a Lifetime' – and it's not like you won't get a return on your investment! [livejournal.com profile] epj and [livejournal.com profile] greenapricot win all the cookies!

2. This link I gacked from [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn is proof that if Billy had been allowed to be his adorable dorky self, but in JEANS, Dee never would've left him for Captain Hotass. Okay, maybe that's a lie, but at least she would've thought twice!

3. Is anybody else loving these GEICO adverts? Seriously.

4. I'm so excited for Nip/Tuck tonight I could spit. <-- is that how that saying goes?

5. Group of Guys is Entourage, but without the glitz and glam and the pretty, but with perhaps the best soundtrack EVER. Duckbilled Platapus! Deep fried poptarts! Smallville cameos!! This is so the real entertainment industry.

Oh, [livejournal.com profile] defamer_atom how are you so awesome?

ETA #6: [livejournal.com profile] buggery made a manip of Uhura as Spock, and like [livejournal.com profile] musesfool said in her post, How fucking cool is that? Can you imagine how different media fandom -- hell, how different television -- would be if Spock had been a black woman? It's kind of mindblowing, innit?

Yes, very mindblowing indeed.

And! And! And! [livejournal.com profile] zoetrope made a most fantabulously adorable and hysterical SGA vid called Absolutely Cuckoo! Go! Watch it now, dammit! Tell her how brilliant she is!

Sekrit aside to [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis: It has a name. Now I'm ready to work.

I've been looking everywhere (ahem, sorry) for Johnny Cash's "I've Been Everywhere" for months, and I'm not actually convinved it exists.

From: [identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com
It does exist! Somewhere. Dude, this is Johnny Cash! It's not like we're asking for Mike from Tuscaloosa's cover of it!

From: [identity profile] shoewhore.livejournal.com
It exists. I have it.

However, it's nestled away in my iPod at the moment, with no means for me to get it to you. But, if you can be patient, I can send it to you tonight when I get home from work. :)

Yes, yes. Bow before me! I am the queen of random Johnny Cash songs! Heh.

Yeah, I'll send it to you tonight when I get home... Let me know if there are any other random songs you're looking for. I'm at almost 8,000 in the iPod, so chances are pretty good, I might just have it! ;)

[livejournal.com profile] epj put up the song in the comments below, but Dez, you rock for offering and I will think if there's anything else I will need, also, did you see this (http://stores.musictoday.com/store/dept.asp?band_id=1310&dept_id=9549&sfid=2)? I ordered mine already, yis. And I wrote Entourage. And I saw Ian and Ben last week. You love me.

Date: 2006-09-26 05:06 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] shoewhore.livejournal.com
Yes! I did see that! I think I'm going to hit the pre-order so I can get my grubby paws on it ASAP! And I'm jealous that you saw Ian and my future ex-husband, Ben. I haven't seen them in over a year and a half now, and I'm having withdrawals! Just, what the hell is so wrong with Florida that those pasty little white boys, can't get their skinny asses down here and get some sun?! *pout*

I made a post about it to the bflies; you would've dropped from the Ben & Ian love. I was totally overcome.

Yeah, I saw the post. But, I was too bitter to respond. It's as though my boys are cheating on me, or something! Well, really... Just the one boy... the one with THE voice... You know the one! ;)

Darling, I would never throw you over. You know that! It's just that the crack it waits for no man, or woman, even if they're as pretty and fabulous as you.

Ari loves you!

As I was too late [YSI hates me!] and as I am assuming [livejournal.com profile] greenapricot sent you the studio version, here's the live version of Once in a Lifetime.

Talking Heads: the most underappreciated band of the 80s.

I see you are the queen of live music, aren't you? What else are you sitting on, missy? Got any Thom? Jeff? More Johnny? Elbow? Doves? Al? Lyle Lovett? Show me the money!

lazulus: (what's he like?)
From: [personal profile] lazulus
Sadly, not queen of anything. I just happen to have random alternative versions of stuff! Mind you, I'd give good nmoney for a decent copy of Jeff singing Dido's Lament at Meltdown in 95 as the one's I've got is awful quality.

Have you heard the Doves' cover version of Something in the Air?

I've heard I'm so mad I could spit, but never excited. I'm excited about the ep too though. I made some N/T icons recently too if you're interested, BTW. :)
