1. Conan O'Brien was in the city last night. And he had a dance-off with Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart. I know. I know. Watch it here.

2. In NINE DAYS the World Cup begins. I feel like I do not have a sufficient vocabulary to explain exactly how excited I am for this. This Nike Commercial comes close to my level of excitement. It's football, people! Real football, that is played with your feet, not the fake kind with the shoulder pads and 300 lbs behemoths. Football is graceful and beautiful and sweaty. And endurance. How can you hate on a sport where you have to have the endurance to run full out for 90 minutes? I can see some of you fading on me. I know how to speak your language though.

4. Last but not least, does anybody have the Broken Bells album, which is the new album from Danger Mouse and, uh that, dude from The Shins. Jesus. I have mentioned The Shins in my LJ I may be barred entrance from my favorite bar for the rest of my life now. And yet, it's not my fault! They cast Hotass Girlfriend of Awesome, Christina Hendricks, in their video for 'The Ghost Inside' and apparently people have seen this, but I cannot and I weep with envy and frustration. But like, not really, my tear ducts have all dried up.

2) I didn't dig the Raylan/Winona stuff (well, only to the degree of "Ooh! Look at these attractive people simulating sex on my television screen!"), but I thought Winona's bra was really cute.

Walton Goggins deserves like fifty awards for last night. When he was testifying I was in awe. He is fucking AMAZING. As for Raylan/Winona, I prefer that vastly to Ava/Raylan. That latter pairing is just all wrong to me. He doesn't love her, she's rocking some 20 year old crush, he claims he doesn't want to save her, but that's all it's about. The two of them are just not right together, she gets spineless and he gets stupid. Having said that, back to Winona and her AWESOME bra. I loved that scene cause there were naked Tim parts. And he smiled. And there was kissing. Yes, I am that easy.

Art and Raylan in the office were superb. Raylan and Arlo in the conference room were on FIYAH. Literally, my teeth were on edge.

In short: JUSTIFIED YAYE!!!

Everything Art says is gold. And Raylan's FACE when he took away the whiskey bottle! He was like, "Wait..what?" So confused. Raylan gets what he wants! He looked like he wanted to have a tantrum. So he just drank Art's instead.

Oh babes - I am not particularly excited about the World Cup (although, you know, I might watch the odd game - but being in a country suffused with football mania, and colleagues who are football mad, and not being generally that hot on tv sports, it doesn't ignite me) but the ad is fantastic. Especially Rooney's dream sequences. And Gael Garcia Bernal as Ronaldo. Or Ronal- d'oh.

ANd Justified - man, that show started very strong, then had a slightly flat few episodes when it went all monster of the week, and then it stepped back into the Boyd/Crowder/fathers arc and omg it has just gone from one level of awesome to the next every week. The acting is pretty damn fine - Boyd is mesmerising in church (I am finally beginning to believe that no, it's not an act, he really is a religious nut); the father/son dynamic, with both Givenses and Crowders, are some of the most powerful scenes out there (especially Arlo and Raylan - when Arlo mentioned Raylan's mom, I thought his son was going to hit him); and the parallels with Art as surrogate dad (I loved the whiskey moment, and Raylan drinking Art's glass when he was deprived of more, it was so... teenage!).

And the women! Winona who cannot resist her ex husband's smouldering hotness (I mean, srsly Winona, how can you even look at Gary when you had Raylan in your bed? Huh?); Ava and her gun-toting ways; Helen!

AAAANd bonus sex scene (which although it was poorly lit, was rather hot). With Raylan stripping and glimpses of hot manflesh.

I love Justified. Every episode has been some new revel so I cannot complain. I love Art and Boyd and Raylan. I think Helen is bad ASS. I want all of Winona clothes. I have issues with Ava though, mostly directly related to the fact that she and Raylan do not belong together in the slightest. She acts spineless and he just falls into the same old "I shall save you since I can't help trying since I was born 100 years too late to be Wyatt Earp." (That 100 years thing came from Elmore Leonard not me.) As for the sex scene I'm sure that was lit just the way they intended: as tease. I could've done with more Raylan bits, but that's a given.
