I feel I should state up front that the entire purpose of this mix, beside to provide awesome music for your ears, is to introduce you to the awesome that is Daphne Willis. She's from Chi town. She plays the guitar. She's not glam or glitz or Auto-Tune (praise Rudy), but she is most definitely talented and I really like her stuff. And y'all know how picky I am. Also, I just have to say I know a lot of y'all love Lady Gaga and think she, like, shits gold ingots, but that latest song 'Alejandro'? Uh, I liked it better when Madonna did it in the 80s and called it 'La Isla Bonita.' And please don't try and tell me that those two songs don't sound the same.

I totally have a story about this! It is morality tale demonstrating why it is a bad idea to read bad fanfic within 24 hours of having real life sex. It is a moving tale of woe and laughter at inappropriate moments.

Downloading, thanks. I always forget how much I like female vocalists and this is a fun selection of them. It's kind of embarrassing but I first wanted a CD player because the Brandy & Monica collaboration "The Boy Is Mine" was only on CD at my local store. I should buy that tune on iTunes and reminisce.

I wasn't club-going age in 1999 but I do remember Believe vividly. Autotune was so foreign back in the day.

Interesting, will check it out later after work. Barely ever listen to any female vocalists at all - could be with it usually being metal music in my ears and rarely that genre combined with female vocalists fit me.

I love Florence & The Machine 'Howl' - I think this collection will be very intereysing to listen to and see what I may like :D

This is a GREAT mix. I downloaded it two weeks ago and am only now getting around to listening to it--I love the genre mix A LOT. And I'm going to see Robyn live (for the third time) in six weeks, fuck yes. She is the best.
