Dear Garrett Hedlund,

You and I first met a long long time ago when you were in a little movie called Friday Night Lights. We're talking like 2004. You were adorable. And fucked up. You and Lucas Black and Derek Luke and Jay Hernandez. And who knew Tim McGraw could act? I digress. I waited avidly to see what you would do next, which turned out to be Four Brothers, where you were adopted into a family with Marky Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese and Dre 3000 from Outkast. Yeah, it was that kind of movie. And Chiwetel Ejiofor was the villain! (Ilu, Chiwetel \o/) And then you fell off the fucking map. And I missed you. But now you are back, and hot as fuck, about to take over the fucking world with Tron Legacy and then there's this movie with Fishstick Paltrow (Country Song) where you are all grizzled and manly. And you sing. YOU NEVER MENTIONED THE SINGING PART BEFORE. And thusly I shall have to see this movie.

Oh, Friday Night Lights made me cry! He was so good in it. And I adored him in Four Brothers.

DUDE. how did I not know that he was the dude in tron? I've seen that preview at least seventeen times. I thought I was going to give that movie a pass, but APPARENTLY NOT SO. (four brothers is one of those movies where I was really enjoying it, and then they killed off the most awesome character. i.e. garrett hedlund died.) I'm happy he's getting work!

Oh god, just thinking about Troy makes me want to gag. I attended under duress and actually tried to leave during the movie and was prevented. Hours of my life I will never get back.

My sis and I adore him. I've sat through so many awful movies just for a glimpse. (Eragon sticks the most in my mind). And this movie has Leighton Meester, who is possibly one of my favourite tv/movie people ever, so I shall defs be seeing it. Thanks for finding it....

"Chances Are" is amazing. It was the only one of his songs to make the soundtrack, but here's hoping they release the others on iTunes or something.

He's also playing Dean Moriarty in On The Road. That movie is going to be a hot mess (Kristen Stewart as Marylou, really? Yikes!) but he might be what saves it. He's all method about Cassady and has been researching him for years.

THANK YOU. when i went to the imdb page for Country Strong, i ended up looking at an article describing her ANGUISH over gaining 20 lbs for the movie and not being allowed to exercise...i think i had a rage blackout.
