Date: 2002-10-28 04:45 pm (UTC)I think it will be done within the next two weeks, actually. Or the first draft will be, anyway. I'm almost always really, really good about finishing things. I have a somewhat obsessive personality with a side order of stubborn, both good traits for a novelist to have.
And I too loathe long WIPs. I would never post something in progress anywhere but my public notebook. I change things too much for one thing. Whenever this goes up on a site, it will be in it's final, edited, that's it, it's done version.
It's looking increasingly likely that I'll be writing in the Silververse again, though. I'm having too much fun. Got to get that novel rewrite finished though, so it will probably be December or January before I start working on that. Then I can work on my next novel and the Silververse at the same time and I'll feel like I'm being productive. As it stands, my agent would kill me if she knew I'd set the rewrite aside to spend six weeks working on a fanfic, but it's actually been a really positive thing. I've gotten so much kind feedback (like yours, thanks so much) that I'm feeling really up about my work again. But she'll never know, anyway - bwahahaha.
