scribblinlenore mentioned being stuck indoors for a blizzard and how she thought it would be a great opportunity to spend some time getting to know some of the new people on my flist. Which I whole-heartedly agree.
So...tell me something about you. Favorite character. Favorite food. Something funny you do. Whatever you like. Just make it something that gives me a sense of who you are.
There's no pressure to participate, of course. If you'd rather just lurk, that's fine, too. But if you feel like coming out of the woodwork, I'd love to hear from you!
I think I do this like once a year and since I'm feeling a bit sour, and this exercise always makes me smile, I'll start...
1. I drink like six glasses of water a day,
2. I still read Smallville stories even though I don't watch the show anymore.
3. I love potatoes.
4. I love turtles; I plan to buy one as soon as I can afford the damn terrarium.
5. I think I would rather be blind than deaf since I can't imagine not listening to music.

I love sharks, I used to work in an aquarium and helped feed them, they are the most beautiful creatures and much misunderstood.
I'm terrified of drowning or suffocating in any way.
I work in a health shop but am constitutionally unable to remember to take any supplements for more than 2 weeks in a row!

Date: 2005-01-21 10:27 pm (UTC)2. My parents took me to a psychiatrist when I was a toddler. They thought I was developmentally retarded and perhaps mentally handicapped. Turns out I was just bored and didn't like the other kids in pre-school.
3. This time tomorrow I will be waiting for a plane at Sydney airport.
4. I cannot walk in heels. At least not very well.
5. I am really judgemental about fic. There are a lot of bad to adequate authors out there. That being said, due South has a higher percentage of good stories over all than a lot of other fandoms I've dipped my toe into.

I can speak about three sentences of Irish Gaelic which passes for speaking another language at home because my family just kind of throws the phrases in there and stuff. I can basically say, I love you, I'm hungry, shut up and Happy St. Patrick's day. Mostly I do it on the phone in public places cause its fun and confuses people.
3. My Aunt lived on a farm in Vermont where most most of the outside scenes for "The Cider House Rules," were filmed and she had a llama named Fleetwood Mac. He was a guard llama who kept the sheep safe from Coyotes. Serious. He bit me once. Fricking llamas.
